New Painting inspired by Donna Downey Colors... Flowers . Oh My...

So here's a new piece I just did - took over a few day with all the drying and different elements.  I was watching alot of Donna Downey videos - and this is what came from that.

I did alot of paint layers... and video taped it.   What I can see from the video.  Is I'm glad i'm back on my diet - I hate my double chin.   I need to get my hair colored...  And I total make many faces when i'm in the zone painting...

Hope you enjoy anyway and please comment.
And follow my blog.

Thanks
Lisa

Canvas Painting - Snowed In

So here's the piece I did last week when we got snowed in with 14" in Jersey..

I gesso the canvas.
Used Golden Paints - Carbon Black, Ivory, And Burnt Omber that I toned down..
With a lime green.

Did alot of mixing on the canvas...
I love how it came out.

February 2013 Canvas Art work Pieces

So again since I just started this blog - I am grouping Photos together... Below are my canvas pieces from February 2013.

I hope you enjoy them...

More canvas pieces... These are what I did in December 2012

Below is a piece that started out 1 thing and totally ended up something different - but I loved how it came out.

Below is a canvas I did for my husband to remind him of the Jersey Shore.

Below is a canvas piece I did after seeing a pin on Pinterest on using booking paper to roll roses.  I had so much fun... and ended up gluing them on this canvas.

The below is one I did when I was in a very dark mood...  And I had just discovered india inks.

Below is a piece I did for a friends birthday present - she loved it and is hanging in her kitchen...

Below is a canvas I did after really playing with blending colors on the canvas... adding water and see what that does with the paint...

Below is a piece I did using a bunch of different stuf....

Below is another canvas I did that was brought on by Hurricane Sandy and how I was feeling about it all.

Learning to become an artist

So again.. I decided to just put months together - after I had just learned how to do Art Journaling - I started working on Canvas and realized I really like doing Abstract Art - so here's the first of my art work.

The below is my very 1st artwork done.   (P.S. I have already gesso over it ) LOL...

The below is one I started for my niece she picked these colors in her room. This has alot of textured in it.  Acrylic paints, wax melting, modeling paste.

This was after I watched a youtube video on pouring inks - mixing acrylic paints with a pouring medium.

Below is the finished product of the piece I started and pictured above.

Here's another pouring medium paint canvas that I did for my son with his favorite colors.

Below was a small canvas I did for a friend who wanted something to match her colors in her livingroom.

Here's a canvas piece I did on Thanksgiving day...   (See the turkey) - very 3d texture.

Here's a piece I did in October right after Hurricane Sandy hit our Jersey Shore and destroyed so much of it...

below is a piece I did when feeling so lucky that I was adopted by an amazing mother and father - and had such a great brother to share life with.
