This Months - July Creative dare  

She does a LIve Stream via the internet every Monday - called Mixed Media Monday -.

The Challenge is what does it mean to me.

We were suppose to pick a monday that moved, inspired me.

Below is 1 of my motivations... I used things from all of her Mixed Media.

So First I gesso the surface.

Then got out my Paints - sorry I don't have the brands - I was totally in a zone and was just paining.

I took out my Montana paint markers and drew out the heart.

And used it around the edges.

Then my goal overall is to start to use my "stash" so I pulled out these really old rub ons to try and use things..  I wrote;

Life Isn't About Finding Yourself

Life is about creating yourself.

Right now in my life this is what I feel like I am doing full time!!!  And Art is really halping me.

I then thicken up the Outline of the heart on the Black.

And then I had some fun doing the white lines.

I was going to do some stamping but I really like it like this so for right now this is done.

She challenged us to do our powerful Trusts - we could use some of hers.

Below is what the canvas started out as..  This was one of my first canvases I had ever did when I had no idea what I was doing.   I loved it until my next one - then my next and now i have piles of canvases that I don't know what to do with... Well that is until today.

SO I started with drawing some circles - which with sunflowers on my mind quickly came into sunflowers.

Painting around the pedals and trying to let the old paint layers bleed through

Some Gesso  and Gelato watercourse..

More thoughts came out.

Got out my black montanta marker pens and had some more fun.

And black india ink - and added the outlines

Letting it dry now - tomorrow will pick up and show you the finished piece.

I didn't like how the leaves were so bland - so i crumpled up some scrapbook paper teared the shape and then inked up the edges and glued on surface.

I really like to write the text myself instead of from a computer - thought I love the look from the printer.  But since this is a journal page I tried to journal.

Mixed Media Journal Page - What Is strength - Using new products

 So tonight I received a large box and inside was all the new Art Anthology products I ordered

So of course I had to break out a few and make some things.

On Monday I took Tracy Weinzapfel Mixed Media Monday Class - and her challenge was to pick some "strength" words..   So below is a few steps into that word.

I was also taking a donna downey class... so I was really excited to do a technique so I had fun laying the back ground up... then hand drew the flowers - and then mixed paint with gesso and used my figure to blend out side of the flowers...   Free handed some words

Strength

Power

Heal

Then finished off the flowers and added washi tape.

REally like the new products...
