Mixed Media - Art Journal 8-15-13 - If you Never Try you'll never know

  New Art Journal Mixed Media Piece I just completed in my Large Moleskin.

Live Laugh Much.

If you never try you will never know.

Working in the large art journal is fun and scary at the same time... It just depends what you decide to do..   

This page started with back ground paint just (extra paint that I painted onto this page and let dry)

After I got the layers the way I wanted...  I built the page.

The video shows the process.

Started out with no plan on my Mixed Media - Art Journal and ended up drawing Sunflowers and alot of Watercolor and Pastels...

My Sunflowers

Started out with pencil

Started coloring in with Caran D'Arche Neocolor II

Took a paint brush and water and below is what it looked like

Added more colors

And more color

Then pulled out my Pitt Pen Markers

Finally i pulled out my Rembrandt Pastels

And with my finger I played with those pastels...

Took my Pitt Markers and did more filling out and filling in the sun flower seeds

Final look.
